Visit from new Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles

ImageOur unique collections are of interest on campus, locally and internationally. As an example of international interest, we recently hosted a visit with Kim Wan-joong, the newly appointed Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles. Dr. Ying Zhang (Research Librarian for Asian Studies) and Derek Quezada (Outreach and Public Services Librarian) curated a showing of Korean materials from our general and special collections. Additionally, Consul General Kim was given a tour of the Libraries' Korea Corner, which opened in 2017, and was made possible through support from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles delegated by the Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
