The UCI Libraries Collaboration Zone opened in fall 2017, thanks to the support from the Langson Library Fund. This new flexible space on the third floor of Langson Library features:
- A writeable glass wall
- Easily moveable chairs and tables
- Moveable whiteboards
- Collaboration pods
- A large digital display that connects to multiple devices over Wi-Fi
The space has quickly become a popular destination for students looking for a place to study and work together.
Throughout the academic year library staff will be conducting observational studies of how the space is used and will provide ample opportunities for students to give feedback.
The Collaboration Zone will be open during regular library hours on a first come basis for seating and use of the equipment.
