Richard Cho
Richard Cho joined the Libraries on January 2, 2019 as Research Librarian for Humanities and Literature. Richard will serve as the Libraries’ liaison to the Departments of English, Comparative Literature and French and Italian. He will develop collections and provide specialized instruction and research consultations for students and scholars in these fields. As a member of the Education & Outreach Department, he will also play a key role in designing and delivering general information and literacy instruction for undergraduates. One of Richard’s research interests is looking at the depiction of libraries in literature.
Richard graduated from UCI with a BA in Psychology, and he received an MA in East Asian Studies with a focus on comparative literature as well as an MLIS from UCLA. Prior to assuming his current role at UCI, Richard held the position of Instruction & Reference Librarian at CSU Fullerton.

Jenna Dufour
The Libraries welcomed Jenna Dufour on January 7, 2019 as Research Librarian for Visual Arts. Jenna comes to us from Concordia University, in Montreal, Quebec, where she was a Reference Librarian for Art History & Classics, Modern Languages, and Linguistics. Jenna will serve as the Libraries’ liaison to the Departments of Art History, Film & Media Studies, and Studio Art and will develop collections and provide specialized instruction and research consultations for students and faculty in these fields.
Prior to her position at Concordia, Jenna was the Programming and Learning Services Librarian at the Vancouver Public Library. She also has experience working at the Music, Art & Architecture Library at the University of British Columbia, and the Vancouver Art Gallery Library & Archives, and at the Banff Centre’s Paul D. Fleck Library & Archives. Jenna holds a BA in Art History from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario and an MLIS from the University of British Columbia.

Jolene Beiser
Appointed as the Archivist for Special Collections and Archives on January 14, 2019, Jolene Beiser came to the UCI Libraries after serving as a Project Archivist at Cornell University. At UCI Libraries, she will provide expert guidance and management of archival and manuscript collections housed within the Special Collections & Archives Department including Orange County regional history, the Southeast Asian Archive, the Critical Theory Archive, dance and performing arts, and literary manuscripts.
At Cornell, Jolene’s work focused on the university library’s Hip Hop Collection. Prior to that she was the Archivist for the Pacifica Radio Archives in North Hollywood. She also has experience working at UCLA Libraries in the Special Collections Department and with the UCLA Social Science Data Archive. Jolene has a BA from UC Santa Cruz, an MA in Psychology from Hunter College, and an MLIS from UCLA.
